Electric cars are quicker than traditional vehicles? – yes.
Are electric cars faster? – no.
There are many really fast petrol cars. The BMW M5 boosted tops out at around 190 mph. Many Porsches have broken 200. A Mercedes AMG Mercedes will reach high 180s. New Corvettes start at 195
My lowly Tesla is able to reach 155. My son managed to make it to 141 in a straight. On the same straight, 170+ cars were cruising by.
But, it is faster off the line and through big turns. It handles better than any of the other cars. It is more durable than even the most rigid mid-engine sports cars. Because the center of gravity is so low, nothing can perform like a Tesla. It doesn’t matter what price.
