Does aluminum conduct electricity?

Aluminium conducts electricity because it is a metal.

All bulk metals possess a continuum/overlap energy state (the conduction band does not separate from the valence bands) which allows for unimpeded electron flow.

Aluminiumm is a cheaper metal than Au&Ag but Cu can cause erosion over time (aluminium forms an oxide layer instead). This makes it the best choice for wire(bonding) semiconductor chips and transistors.
