What Are All The Eligibility

The issue of registration receipts is not contingent on race, gender or nationality, nor on their where they were born or their place of residence, unless specifically provided by America Samoa’s Immigration Rules. The obligation to sign up

Aliens who are residents of American Samoa are required to be photographed and registered when:

they must be at least 14 years old or older.

Notes:

The registration process must be completed prior to the expiration of the 30 day period.
It is the responsibility of any parental or guardian for aliens who are younger than 14 who are not registered to make an application to be registered.
If an alien reaches his 14th anniversary in American Samoa he shall, within 30 days after submit an application in person to registration and a photograph.

Validity

Each person in America Samoa who has been registered and photographed will be issued an alien registration certificate receipt for a time period not exceeding 12 months, starting from the date of issue.

Anyone who has been given the right to be a permanent resident through the law or an Immigration Board order and children of U.S. nationals born in foreign countries, after registration and photographic verification, shall be issued an the receipt of registration for aliens for a time period not exceeding 3 (3) years after the date of issue.
