  • Go to the office and fill out an application form for enrolment to receive an National Identification Card from the department that is responsible. You can download the the application form
  • Fill out the application form by providing pertinent information within the sections. Affirm it by signing it after you have completed it.
  • Once you’ve completed filling out your application, be sure you attach all the documents mentioned on the “Required Documents” section on this page.
  • After that, you must submit the application along together with all the necessary papers in person in the presence of the NIMC Enrollment officer in the office. Once the form is submitted, it as well as additional documents are checked to ensure that they are authentic.
  • The officer will then input the details provided by the applicant into the NIMC Software. The applicant will then be asked to verify the details that were entered in the software for enrolment.

  • The Activation Officer, after sorting the Card, gives the applicant the e-ID Card in order to verify the Name and Address of the Applicant in the Card’s envelope.
  • Following the Applicant’s approval After the confirmation, the applicant is advised to open the envelope of the card then take out the eID Card and confirm the names, date of Birth and Photo on the back of the eID Card before activation.
  • If the applicant is satisfied with the details on the electronic ID Card the Activation officer will take the eID Card from the applicant to perform an official Verification of Match-on Card (MOC) verification.
  • After the Match-on-Card (MOC) verification, the Activation Officer then Activates the Electronic Public Key Infrastructure (ePKI), Electronic ID (eID), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Applet and Europay-MasterCard-Visa (EMV) Applet Using a four digit password created by the Applicants (and only known to the applicant).
  • The National e-ID Card will be returned to the applicant after the activation process has been completed.
