Instructions

  • Candidates must ensure that they give correct and functioning addresses, numbers, and e-mail address at the time of application. Any changes that occur afterward is required to be communicated promptly to the Director of Department of Petroleum Resources, 7, KofoAbayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
  • All required documents must be properly scanned and then uploaded on the website in either PDF or JPEG format (documents must not be larger than 4MB). The uploading of documents that are zipped is cannot be permitted.
  • Payments can be made through any Nigerian bank or through any other electronic payment option . Additional instructions for making payments can be found at the time where payment is made on the OGISP website.
  • It is important to note that a payment is not a guarantee for the issue of permits. Permits are only issued once applicants have satisfied the other conditions required.

Documentation is needed

If you are a Nigerian company or organization is planning to enter into Petroleum commercial activities, the company should be granted and have an Oil and Gas Industry Services license by the Department of Petroleum resources of Nigeria.

  • The DPR would conduct inspection/assessment of the facilities for all new applicants under the major and specialized categories, prior to a consideration for the issuance of permits.
