Apply for Basket Fishing Licence (permit) In Uganda By Online
- A permit for fishing in baskets is available from the Ministry of Agriculture animal industry and fisheries.
- A permit for fishing in baskets must be subject to the conditions as are set by the Director of Fisheries.
- Anyone who fishes using baskets within the water of Lake Edward, Lake George or the Kazinga Channel unless he or is in possession of an appropriate basket licence is guilty of an offense against the ordinance Act.
- A person who has been who is authorized by the Director of Fisheries to use the basket is given a written recommendation by the Chief Fisheries Officer about:
- The compliance of fishing laws by Beach Management Units, persons or companies that engage in fishing activities
- the number of licenses and permits to be issued to a water body as well as
- Biodiversity-related areas that are of concern
- Complete the application form in accordance with the guidelines provided in the Ministry of agriculture animal industry and fisheries.
- After filling out the form, complete the form and pay the fee.
- Fill in the completed form, along with your payment slips to Fisheries Officer responsible for the zone.
- You must collect you Basket Fishing permits from the location where you made your application within a day of the day the application was received by the ministry of Agriculture in the event of no rejection.

Eligibility
The applicant who is eligible must be a resident of the country who engages in fish activities to receive a fish Basket permits.
Fees
- Application 10,000or more
- Basket Fishing License 120,000/=
Validity
A permit or license issued for basket fishing only applies for the purpose that it was issued for.
Processing Time
Maximum processing time is 1 day.
Instructions
- A person cannot borrow or make use of a basket licenses or permits issued to another person. Any person who takes advantage of a license commits an offence and is accountable for each offense if found guilty to a fine that is not greater than 1 000 shillings.
