Identity certificates can be issued to Ugandans and non-Ugandans who are unable to quickly access Travel documents in emergencies.

HOW to APPLY

  1. Go to your local Ministry of Internal Affairs; Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration offices in Uganda or an embassy/high commission in Uganda close to you. You will need all the documents required and the suggested application fee
  2. Application forms for request Links the forms B and A A and A and B
  3. Be sure to follow the directions carefully, and then fill out the application forms in a correct manner and pay the application fee and attach all required documents to the officer in charge.
    NOTE The cover letter is to be addressed to Passport Control Officer. Ministry of Internal Affairs; Kampala
  4. Recommender should attach an image of their Work ID along with a countersign
  5. The officer in charge will review and review all the documents. If all the details are correct, you will receive your certificate.

Required Documents For Apply for Certificate of Identity

  • Complete forms A and B.
  • Attach two passport size photographs
  • Attach the cover letter from Lc 1 Area Lc 1
