  • Check out the office of the local government located in the district you reside in.
  • Translate your official foreign driving license at the municipal government’s office.
  • Take a test for medial proficiency by a private or public doctor.
  • All registration fees must be paid at the office of district.
  • Apply to take the tests in the office nearest to the National Transport Authority (Nemzeti Kzlekedsi Hatsg or NKH). There is a fee for application that must be paid at the time of application.
  • Take an oral driving test (same as the one above) as well as take a practical test.
  • Go to the district office for the results together with your foreign driver’s license.

  • All other citizens must naturalize their driver’s license to be able to enjoy safe driving Hungary.
