Apply for Delayed Claim under National Insurance Scheme In Jamaica By Online
Application In Person
- If you wish to apply for an inquiry into delayed claims under the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) it is necessary to send your request to the NIS office of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS). Check out the NIS contact information in the “Office Contacts and Locations” section further down.
- Request the form to apply for a delayed claim at the NIS office in person, or take the forms from MLSS website at the following link: Link (choose “Delayed Claim” and download the form)
- Fill out the inquiry section on the form. You must add your name and address.
- Go to the NIS office and present your application in its entirety for the NIS official at the desk of service
- The official will be notified of the claim that is delayed and forward it to the appropriate NIS authority for evaluation.
- The NIS Division will review your delayed claim and notify you in writing about the reasons for the delay.
- Then , the NIS will then send you a written response to your address on the postal side.

- You can send the entire application to the NIS division within the MLSS via postal mail.
