How To Apply for Driver License for Scooter Cars and Micro Cars In Austria

To get a driving licenses for scooters and micro cars, you must first attend a driving course by a recognized authority.
Training classes should be attended during six weeks. Training can begin prior to the 15th birthday of your child.
You’ll be granted the category AM license at the time of your 15th birthday. This this is your temporary license.

What Are All The Eligibility

Minimum ageof 15 years
Theoretical course that covers 6 Teaching units (50 minutes)
Test of theory (moped test)
Practical course of 6 teaching units (50 minutes) in the field of practice
A two-part course of training (50 minute each) in the direction of public transportation
The proof of the control of the vehicle, which is in opposition to the instructor the driving instructor
Consent of the guardian or parent, when the 16th Age is not completed
Reliability of transport
Medical report at around the age 20
There is no practical driving test.

Note: If applications in both categories (moped identification by the entry “motorbike” as well as “light four-wheeled vehicle”) are granted then the practice training must be conducted at the training facility one time in a single track as well as at least once on a four-wheeled vehicle is possible (ie two sessions). The training in public transport is essential for the approval for the steering of single-track vehicles.
