  1. If you wish to apply for an Entertainment incentive as an Individual or a Business You must submit your application in full to the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport (MCGES) via the National Registry of Entertainment and Creative Industries Practitioners (E-Registry) and the Entertainment Division. You can access the MCGES (e-registry) contact details by clicking the link below:

  1. In the first place, you need to confirm that you’re licensed by the Entertainment Division. check out the Wikipedia’s procedure “Jamaica-Register as an Entertainment Specialist (Individual or Company)” to review the registration procedure.
  2. After you have registered, go to the MCGES’s office to fill out your Fiscal incentive form personally. Or, you can email the office to request the form. It will then be delivered at your address.
  3. Complete the application form in triplet and attach necessary documents, e.g. Your tax registration number (TRN)
  4. Scan all three signed copies and submit them to the MCGES’s Entertainment Registry via their email address: registry@mcges.gov.jm for processing. Please note that all requests should be sent to the Permanent Secretary.
  5. On receipt of your form, MCGES will verify your application to verify that you are a legitimate entertainer and participate in the required entertainment-related activity.
  6. Then MCGES will then conduct an inspection of the premises of your operation together with Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO). Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) and then prepare a formal statement about your application. They will then submit it to the Minister for approval and review.
  7. If your application is approved by the ministry, (MCGES) will send an official referral or recommendation about applications to these organizations for review and approval:
    • Incentives Unit of Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA)
    • Legal Support Division of Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ).
  8. The agencies will review your applications and then forward their comments the MCGES who will inform you of the final decision about your status in the entertainment industry.
  9. When the final determination has been completed, JCA will enter your data in the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA) platform to facilitate customs Entertainment Incentives

Application Online

  1. You can also fill out the Fiscal incentives form online using the MCCGES’s Entertainment Registry (E-Registry) by going to their website: Link
  2. In the bar of information in the information bar, choose “Registration” and you will be taken to the registration page.
  3. Check out the details provided and then decide to apply for the Fiscal incentive either as an individual or an Entertainment Company
  4. If you decide to sign up for yourself, you must fill out this online form: “Fiscal incentive for Individuals” Link and should you wish to register as a business, you’ll need to fill out this form “Fiscal Incentive for Corporations” Link
  5. Fill out the online application and upload all required documents to submit the application i.e. the TRN card as well as valid government-issued identity documents
  6. The form can be downloaded and sign it in person or utilize an electronic device that can complete the form. Note that the form should be completed in triples and sent to the MCGES’s Entertainment Registry via their email address: registry@mcges.gov.jm
  7. On receipt of your form, MCGES will verify your application to confirm that you are a legitimate entertainment professional and participate in the required entertainment activities.
  8. Then MCGES will then conduct an inspection of the location of your business in conjunction with Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO). Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) and will prepare a formal report on your application. Then, they will forward it to the Minister for review and approval.

Application In Person

  1. To apply to apply for an application for the Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) You must go to the Mines and Geology Division under the Ministry of Transport and Mining. You can reach MGD via this link: Mines and Geology Division (MGD) through the following link: Link
  2. Download the application form from the register at the Mines and Geology Division in person or download it you download it from the MGD website using the following link: Link you can download the form directly by clicking this hyperlink: Link
  3. Complete the application in a timely manner and attach the necessary documents as specified under the “Required Documents” section below.

  5. The official will examine the application to ensure accuracy and to determine if the space that is being sought for is covered and isn’t already protected by an EPL
  6. After verification, submit the completed application along with the required fee and submit it to an Accounting Clerk who will issue a receipt and suggests you to file your applications with the Registrar.
  7. Send the entire applications to the registration officer. He will register the application into the Prospecting License Register. The registrar the registrar will give a number the application. Afterwards, the registrar will prepare the file you need to fill out regarding the application.
  8. The file is then forwarded on to the Director of Mines to get his opinion.
  9. Following the instructions of the Commissioner On the direction of the Commissioner, notices outlining details of the application are ready to be published in the daily paper and the Gazette at no expense.
  10. Following a period of three weeks following the date of announcement of the notice in the Gazette Three copies of your license will be delivered by the Commissioner to the Permanent Secretary for review and submission to the Minister for his approval and after that, the license will be granted to you.
  11. Within one week from the date of approval of the license, you have to submit at least one week after the grant of the license a letter of Guarantee, or a total in the amount of 20 thousand dollars on the form prescribed to you by GMD. The guarantee is intended to cover the cost of damages to property or the elimination of hazardous conditions resulting from prospecting.

Application In Person

  1. If you want to apply for an Export Health Certificate for Dogs, Cats, and Birds, you must visit the Veterinary Service Division (VSD) within the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MOA). Check out the VSD contact information in the “Office Contacts and Locations” section below.
  2. Be sure to notify VSD VSD of your intentions to export the horses or other animals by writing to an email at vsdpermits@gmail.com or sent by fax at (876) 977-0885.
  3. The VSD will provide you with the regulations for exporting an animal you are planning to export through the importing country. We will then ask that you confine the animal to a quarantine facility.
  4. Find a quarantine site and notify VSD VSD that the site is in place. the VSD will either approve the place or choose a different place to quarantine the animal that is to be exported.
  5. The VSD will be able to monitor the animal’s behavior during the quarantine time and conduct an inspection of the animal at the conclusion of quarantine . They will also prepare an inspection report.
  6. When the animal has been found to be healthy, and import conditions are met the quarantine is complete which means you’ll be informed by the VSD but should the animal not be considered to be healthy or is not in compliance with the import requirements, additional quarantine is needed by the VSD
  7. If the quarantine is successful and a successful application to obtain the certificate of export for the horse or other food animal at the VSD

  9. The first step is to obtain all necessary documents and certificates of the animal you want to export, including an import permission from the country you are importing to.
  10. Complete the application and attach all supporting documents mentioned within the “Required Documents” section. Attach them to the form.
  11. Complete the application in The Permit Office, Veterinary Services Division (VSD) 193 Old Hope Road, in person, or scan and email to: Contact: vsdpermits@gmail.com or Fax the application to (876) 977-0885. Be aware that the information on your TRN is required.
  12. Once you have submitted your application after receipt, the VSD will review your application along with other documents in order to determine if your application is in compliance with the standard
  13. If the application is not valid If the document is insufficient, the VSD will notify you on what you need to do to comply with the standard. If it is valid then you will be issued a payment advisory note. VSD will issue an advisory note on payment for the certificate, and you must pay the fee.
  14. The application fee for the health certificate for export in the VSD cashier with cash, debit or the company’s cheque or credit card or manager’s check, and get the receipt for payment
  15. Once you have paid, your Export health certification will be given to you.

  • A request for an Export Health Certificate must be filled out and sent to the VSD in order to set up an appointment for inspection prior to export. A time for inspection to be conducted by the veterinarian of the government of all living animals will be required within 48 hours of departure. Animals that are being exported are required to attend the scheduled appointment together with all medical documentation from a private vet licensed to practice the art of veterinary medicine in Jamaica.

  1.   5. Each batch will undergo testing. should they fail, you’ll receive the test results via a letter by the VSD and if the product meet the requirements the VSD will inform you via the VSD and will be asked to apply for the issuance of the health certificate.

  12. Pay the fee for the health certificate for export through the VSD cashier using debit, cash, corporate cheque, credit card or manager’s check, and get the receipt for payment
  13. After payment, an exported health certificates will be prepared and given to you, along with the export permit
