What are all the Eligibility

It is believed that the Apostolic Blessing is granted for the following occasions:

  • Baptism First Communion, Confirmation
  • Marriage
  • Priestly Ordination
  • Religious Profession
  • Secular Consecration
  • Ordonnances of permanent deacons
  • Wedding Anniversaries (10 25 40, 50, 60 years)* Priestly Ordination, religious Profession
  • Birthdays (18, 50 60, 70, 80, 90, 100,)*
  • Catholic family members or individuals (with names and surnames of the spouses that have joined by a religious wedding).

The Asterisk (*) signifies the requirement for the nihil obstruction or the approval of the Ecclesiastical Authority.

For requests to have papal blessings on other occasions are not considered.


  • The request for Papal Blessing Chest can be made via by fax or letter.
