Apply for Pesticide Dealer License (Plant Protection Department) In Ivory Coast By Yourself

  • Applicant must gather all required documentation (listed beneath) and then visit at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development department of Pesticides office.
  • Take the application form to the desk at the license counter and fill it out accurately.
  • Complete the form and submit it along with the necessary document (listed below) to be processed and verified.
  • Pay the fee for the licence at the local bank on which you will be issued an invoice.
  • If the pesticide committee is satisfied that all requirements for filling out the application are fulfilled, you will be informed of the result within 2 months and will issue the license.

Required Documents For Apply for Pesticide Dealer License

  • Request for Reseller or Applicator approval sent by the minister of Agriculture
  • Photographic copy of the Croplife CI or MINADER certification diploma. (Present the original diploma when you submit your file for review to Pesticides Committee Secretariat)
  • The signed agreement obligates the parties to adhere to the phytosanitary rules in effect for Cote d’Ivoire. (To Legalize)
  • The signed agreement binds the parties to respect the security and protection system. (To Legalize)
  • Photographic copy of commercial register
  • Account number of the taxpayer or synthetic tax number or town hall registration number
  • Medical monitoring commitment of the staff (on on the letterhead of business of the doctor who signed the commitment) completed by a doctor
  • Add a copy of your photocopy from the National Order of Doctors for the current year, or an imagecopy of the certificate of registration to the list of doctors that was signed by the president of the Order of Doctors
  • A list of phytosanitary products that have been approved to be sold (Trade name, Product name, Function and Product distributor)
  • The list and the number of protection and safety for personnel apparatus (Gloves, Muffler, Wetsuit, Boot, Glasses etc.)
  • A list of phytosanitary items and treatment materials that can be utilized (For Applicators)
  • The identity card photocopy of the CEO of the company.
  • Photocopy of the identity card
  • Legal Contract between the Technical Agent, and Director of the company.

  • Businesses and individuals who want to work with pesticides may apply.

Fees

  • Licences fees of 50,000 FCFA

Validity

The license is valid for five years.

Processing Time

If all requirements are satisfied, the process for obtaining a license is completed within two months after the submission of application.

    • Full legal name of the applicant/company/business

    • Address (physical address) of the premise that is to be licensed.
    • Employees number
    • Name, address and and qualifications of those who are in the control of the property which will require a license.
    • Check the of class (es) that you will use for the pesticide (s) you intend to use within this permit? e.g. herbicides
    • The location on which the work will take place with details on security measures, land adjacent to use, dimensions, types of structure, etc.
    • Define the storage and/ or display facilities available for the pesticides listed above.
    • Define any other kinds of items that will be kept or displayed in the same location
    • Provide safety measures to be taken to protect people and the public
    • What options for disposal do you have for containers that are empty or used?
  • DESCLARATION by the applicant

The Document is required

  • The pesticide committee, whose mission is to enforce the implementation and regulation of the distribution, sale and manufacturing in Ivory Coast by issuing licence.
  • The goal of these regulations is to protect the authenticity of the product for the intended purpose and to prevent informing the public about the product’s purpose.

A person or entity should not produce or manufacture, distribute distribution or sell to the general public any pesticide which isn’t yet verified, tested, registered, and licensed by the ministry.
