Apply to Join UPDF as Airforce Pilot In Uganda By Yourself

  1. An application in writing should be sent at the Ministry Of Defence and Veteran Affairs Human resource Department at the dates specified in the advertisement based on the applicants’ region of origin.You can access their website at the link below. Uganda Peoples Defence Forces UPDF
  2. Download the Application form available from the Ministry of Defense and Veterans Affairs’ Human Resource Department. The form should be completed in three copies and then submitted form to the Ministry Of Defense and Veteran Affairs Human resource Department.
  3. Applications can be obtained from various locations of recruitment centers across the country according to the advertisement by UPDF.
  4. The applications must include the title, as well as your Reference Number for the job you are applying for.
  5. The applicants must be sure to attach the following documents prior the application
    • Three recent passport-sized photos,
    • Three sets of photocopies that are certified of their transcripts from school and
    • Certificates and National Identity Card (ID).

  8. Before you can join the Airforce you’ll need undergo a medical and fitness test to be sure that you have the strength and endurance required to become an Airforce pilots in the UPDF.

The successful candidates will be required to be enrolled at the Army Air base Training School and/or UMA Kabamba Military school or the JCSC Gadaffi Jinja or Uganda Military Engeneering college or Oliver Tembo Leadership School Kaweweta or the Armoured Warfare Training School or the Non-commissioned Officer Academy for the 36-month intense Training Course for the beginners. Pilots who have experience take a short time-frame of training.
  14. After completing your training at the Army Air base Training School over three years, you will be permitted to join Uganda Peoples Defense Airforce as an Learner. You will be issued all the equipment you require, including a brand new Army Uniform.

  12. Pilots who have Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Pilot Instructors.
  13. Aircraft Maintenance Engineers class A&C ( engine and Airframe) category A&C (Engine and Airframe), category X ( electrical and Avionics radio and instruments).
  14. Air Traffic Controllers.
  15. Radar Engineers and Radar Operators.
  16. Flight Operators.
