Get Education and Social Intervention (ESI) Grant In Jamaica By Yourself

  1. You must apply to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security for the Education and Social Intervention Grant (ESI). You can view the Link contact details of the MLSS via this link.
  2. To complete your application, visit the MLSS office of your parish.
  3. The Beneficiary Identification System (BIS), which will require you to give the Demographic and socio-economic information about your family members, will be entered.
  4. Next, the BIS information will be used for the BIS Proxy Means Testing score of the family.
  5. Your family will be chosen if it scores at or below the ESI Grant cut-off points
  6. Once you have been chosen, the MLSS will arrange a home visit to confirm the information you provided during the interview process.
  7. MLSS will send appropriate officials to your family on the date you have specified in your application.
  8. Once your information has been verified and you meet all the requirements, you can register to receive the grant via the appropriate channel, i.e. bank, post office or electronic deposit.
