  • The applicant must first open a bank account for the company.
  • Next, he/she will need to register in the Nigeria Single Window Trade Portal using his/her Tax ID Number and email address.
  • First, the person who wishes to register must visit the Federal Inland Revenue Services Office where he/she obtained his/her TIN.
  • You must visit the office to provide one valid email address and one mobile number. Also, you will need to supply identification details for any other company as per FIRS requirements.
  • After you’ve completed the previous step, you can go to the following link to complete your registration: apply online.
  • Enter your TIN number, email ID, and text image into the fields, then click “Validate”.
  • Follow these instructions to register. After completing the registration, you will need to fill out an E form M online on the Nigeria Single Window Trade Portal.
  • For the portal, click on the link: Apply online
  • Once you have opened the page, enter your login credentials and click the “Login” button. Once you have logged in, click the “Agencies” menu at the top. Select the “CBN” option.
  • On the next page, the CBN Services can be found on the left. To access them, click the “Form (A), M, NCXX, NXP” drop-down menu, and then select the “Fill Form” option.
  • You will be able to fill out the online application by filling in all required details.
  • You’ll also need to upload certain documents, which can be found in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  • A set of uploaded documents must also be submitted by the applicant in person to the Authorised Dealer Bank.
  • After the submission of the application with all required documents, it will go through and be checked to ensure that the Form M is complete and detailed.
  • By comparing the attached documents with the originals, the documents will be confirmed.
  • It will then conduct Know-Your-Customer to confirm that all documents received are authentic.
  • After all processes have been completed, the ADB will validate the e-FormM and transfer it to the Nigeria Customs Service. The NCS will issue a further certificate to the applicant.
  • This information will be sent to the applicant by email or phone.
