Obtain Import Permit for Pets (Cats/Dogs Pet Passport) In United Arab Emirates By Online
- Go to the Ministry of Environment and Climate’s E-Services page for e-services. Click the click here. In order to start your application, you’ll have to sign up and register to create your own username in the system.
- Complete the electronic form.
- Pay the charges. Pay via E-Dirham, MASTER or VISA card.
- Electronic permit issue.

Required Documents For Obtain Import Permit for Pets
The following documents when applying for the procedure
- A copy of the customer’s passport
- A copy of the passport of pet or vaccine certificate
- The blood sample (from requested countries , as per the governing decision)
Documents that the owner needs to present on arrival at the port of entry/ UAE:
- Original Vaccination Card or Animal passport that includes microchips for pets as well as dates of birth and valid treatments, Rabies vaccination , and other records for vaccinations (dates and manufacturer), batch number. ,vacc. stickersetc. ).
- A valid health certificate issued by the official health department from the country of export shows pet identification microchips and the animal is examined and displays acceptable health signs.
- Original Certificate of Rabies Serum Neutralization testing (RSNT) performed within 90 days preceding travel and certifying a minimum titer value of 0.5IU/ml or higher. This certificate is not required in the following countries : Australia, Austria, Andorra, Aruba, Barbados, Bahrain, Belgium, Comoros, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, French Polynesia, Falkland Island, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Mauritius, Malta, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Portugal, Qatar, Singapore, San Marino, Seychelles, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Vanuatu

Eligibility
Pet is required to be delivered with a manifested shipment as per IATA rules.
Check IATA’s website , link for more information the requirements to carry pets.
Dog breeds that are listed below are banned to be imported into the UAE
- All Kinds of Pit Bull
- Japanese Tosa (TosaInu; Tosa Fighting Dog),
- Argentinian Fighting Dog (DogoArgentino; Argentinian Mastiff),
- Brazilian Fighting Dog (Fila Brasileino; Brazilian Mastiff),
- Wolf Dog Hybrid ( Any dog that is mixed with an Wolf),
- American Staffordshire Terrier.
Fees
- Fee for obtaining an import permit $500 Dhs per pet (cat or dog)
- Inspection fees:
- Cats 500 Dhs per cat at admission,
- Dogs are allowed to be a part of the following: 1000 Dhs for each dog on the time of entry.
Validity
Pets Import Permit (Cats/Dogs) The period is 30 days.
Be aware that you aren’t permitted to import pets if you have an expired import license.

- The average time to submit an application 5 minutes
- Average time to receive approval on applications complete that comply with the terms and conditions 7 minutes
