Register a Business Name In Uganda By Online

  1. Look up Business Names
    • Find at least 3 names. Choose at least 3.
    • Complete the Name Reservation form, which is available at the physically One Stop Centre (OSC) located at Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) and at the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) office or online portal; or in Uganda Bookshop. Uganda Bookshop.
    • Fill out the form completely and attach evidence of payment. Cost: 2200 UGX paid to URSB account in a bank that is available at an bank
    • The person who is responsible for the registration will carry out an identity search, and reserve and the business name will be reserved within a day.
  2. The Business Name is reserved.
    • To reserve a name for a business the business owner must submit an application for Business Name Reservation to the Assessment Window of the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB).and pay the fee for the name reservation. cost: UGX 20,000 paid at the (URSB) bank account that is accessible at any bank
    • Once the necessary cost, the name is then subject to a search within the database of business registry. If the name is able to pass the similarity offensive, defensive and desirableness tests and is then kept for 30 days. Name-reservation books are available where the business owner can look up and determine if the name requested was approved or denied and for what reason. This procedure takes of 2 to 4 days
  3. Issue of business certificates
    • Your company will be registered and you will be given the certificate of your company name registration as well as its registration number
