Register as an Importer of Fisher Product and Derivatives In Ivory Coast By Yourself
- Applicants (Individuals/businesses/companies) based in Abidjan should visit the Ministry of Animal and Fisheries Resources (MIRAH), Department of Animal Nutrition and Management of the Pastoral Space (DNAGEP) office, will those located outside Abidjan should visit the Prefecture office near them, to the department concerned and express your interest.
- Request a registration form at the registration desk. complete it in a precise manner.
- Complete the request form and documents that support it to the official to be verified.
- Make the necessary processing charges on the Department of Veterinary Services (DSV) cash counter. Upon which you will be issued with a an invoice.
- The Department of Veterinary Services (DSV) will send an inspector/health officer to the premises of the facility for inspection to determine if the facility has the proper storage, manufacturing, safety equipment’s, ventilators, appropriate for the location of the facility employees are wearing the correct equipment/knowledge drainage system, accessibility for water e.tc)
- The report’s findings will be provided an applicant and If any change or enhancement is needed, Corrective Action and Preventive Action Report (CAPA) report will be issued and you will be required to fix the issue.
- After successful implementation of the CAPA A follow-up inspection can be conducted by the inspectors to determine the effectiveness of the CAPA (where appropriate)
- In the event that an inspector finds pleased by the follow-up inspection, you’ll be issued an official certificate of vet inspection.
- The Inter-ministerial Commission (chaired by the Ministry responsible for Trade) is scheduled to meet at least twice a year to consider the findings of the report and issue the certificates of authorization for importation to those who meet the conditions in the request.
- You will be informed about the result via email, telephone or in person, and then you will be issued with a certification of approval as the importer for fisher product and derivatives.
- The list of applicants who have been approved will be published by the Inter-ministerial Decrees every year.
Required Documents For Register as an Importer of Fisher Product and Derivatives
- Request in writing (for Attention of the president of the Approval Commission ) – Cf. Decree n deg 93-312 from the 11th of March, 1993. District of Abidjan.
- A valid Identity Card (Identity Card or Residence Card).
- Extract of Judicial Record dated not more than (3) three (3) months ago (Court of the residence place, Ministries of Foreign Affairs for foreign citizens).
- Extracts of the Trade Register bearing a mention in relation to the occupation that the trade register is to.
- Certificate of the location of the site for exercise (Town Hall of the Municipality that is concerned).
- Inspection certificate and counter-visit with the pulmonary radio of the hospital’s manager (public health centers).
- 4 Identity pictures from the person who is managing (Applicant).
- Employees’ list (Applicant).
- Certificate of Visit or Counter-Visit as well as the X-rays of the lungs for the employees (public health centers).
- A certified copy of the diploma (optional).
- The file of the person who is in charge or manager of the Company with all the documents listed in the preceding paragraphs (Applicant).
- Declaration of Tax Existence (tax centre of your municipality).
- Animal Inspection Certification (Veterinary Inspection Service).
- Identification form for an economic institution (Department of Animal Services)
- A receipt to pay charges relating to dossiers of applications (Department of Veterinary Services).

The document is needed
- In conformity with Decree Nr. 83-808 from 3 August 1983, and Decree n@93-312 from March 11 1993, it establishes the conditions to exercise professions in the importation of goods intended for consumption by humans and animals.
Therefore, importers of fisher products and derivatives must obtain an authorization importer certificate for derivatives and fisher products from the ministry before being capable of importing these items into Ivory Coast.
