Register as an Importer of Poultry and Derivatives In Ivory Coast By Yourself

  • Companies based in Abidjan should visit Abidjan’s Ministry of Animal and Fisheries Resources (MIRAH), Department of Livestock Productions (DPE) or Sub-Department of Supply and Market Regulators Office and companies based in other areas of Abidjan must check out the Prefecture office in their vicinity and make an inquiry at the front desk.
  • Take the registration form from the registration desk. Fill it out accurately.
  • Send the completed form, along with required evidence (listed in the following) to the official who will be attending to verify.
  • Make the necessary processing charges in cash at the Department of Veterinary Services (DSV) cash counter, on which you will receive a receipt.
  • The Veterinary Services (DSV) Department will send an inspector/health office to the premises of the facility for inspection to ensure that whether the Good Storage, Manufacturing and Distribution Practice are being followed.
  • The report’s findings will be provided to applicants and should any modifications or enhancement is needed, Corrective Action and Preventive Action Report (CAPA) report will be issued and you will be required to correct the issue.
  • After the successful implementation of the CAPA A follow-up inspection could be carried out by the team conducting the inspection to determine the effectiveness of the process (where it is applicable).
  • If the veterinarian finds the inspector satisfied by the conclusions of the follow-up report You will be issued with a certificate from a veterinarian.
  • A Inter-ministerial Commission (chaired by the Ministry responsible for Trade) is formed to look at the findings of the report the entire application file and issue the certificate of authorization for importation to those who have met the requirements to be met for the submission.
  • You will be informed about the outcome via email, phone or in person. You will be issued with the authorization for profession certificate/card for import of poultry and other products from the registry.

  • 4 Identity pictures from the person who is managing (Applicant).

  • Certificate of inspection and monitoring for employees and the radio for pulmonary (public hospitals)
  • An official Copy from the Diploma (optional).
  • The file of the person who is in charge or manager of the Company with all the documents listed in the preceding paragraphs (Applicant).
  • A Tax declaration of existence (Taxes).
  • A Veterinary Inspection Certification (Veterinary Inspection Service at the Directorate of Veterinary Services, DSV).
  • A receipt to pay charges related to the dossiers submitted for DSV. Directorate of Veterinary Services (DSV).

Eligibility

  • Legal or natural (individuals/businesses/companies) that wish to import poultry and derivatives products to Ivory Coast.

Fees

  • The cost for registration is 100,000FCFA.

Validity

The certificate of authorization for professions or the importation of poultry and related products lasts for one year and is renews every year after that.

Processing Time

The processing of applications must be completed at minimum twice (2) times per year.
