How To Register for the Medical Benefits Scheme In Antigua and Barbuda

  1. To be eligible for MBS’s Medical Benefits Scheme, you have to fill out and send an application form to MBS. To download the proper form, click the link under the “Documents to Use” section.
  2. The form should be completed along with your passport and other documents supporting it (see the list below).
  3. You should wait for additional instructions from the officer in charge of processing.

For Nationals:

  • Passport
  • If you don’t possess the passport, your Birth Certificate and two government-issued identification documents will suffice.
  • Social Security Card
  • Old Medical Benefits Card.

For Non-Nationals:

  • Passport
  • Social Security Card
  • Documentation of residency that proves legal the time of residence
  • Work Permit

To Non-National Children:

  • Passport
  • If your child is in school, you’ll be required to present the proper evidence/permission to go to school.
  • Your child should be a resident of the State of Antigua and Barbuda for at least one year. You must also provide documents proving that they are legal residents indicating the proper time period.

For Voluntary Benefits: (those people who worked and then been fired from work):

  • Passport
  • Social Security Card

For Business:

  • Your business license
  • Registration form (this can be completed in our office or completed prior to arriving or downloading it from our website, then go on our form page to fill it out)
