  • If your passport was damaged or taken, then you are not able to renew it. Instead, you must fill out an Adult passport form, and then attend an interview.
  • If you’re not able to fill out the online form and you live in another country and need help, contact the closest Australian consular or diplomatic mission. If you are eligible then the passport staff will send you the completed Australian Passport Renewal Application or it can be picked up at the location that you have requested the form. If you are not eligible then you must fill out the entire online application form for overseas applications or get an application form from the overseas mission.

What Are All The Eligibility

  • If you’re an Australian citizen, you must be 18 or older and you either:
    • Are you an adult? Australian passport that
      • It was valid for a minimum of two years from the date of issue and
      • was issued on July 1, 2000 was issued after 1 July 2000.

    • You must have a child Australian passport that
      • was valid for at most two years from the date of issue and
