Renew Registration as an Importer of Milk and Derived Product In Ivory Coast By Yourself
- Get the necessary documents and then visit your local Ministry of Animal and Fisheries Resources (MIRAH), Department of Veterinary Services Division (DSV), Sub-Directorate of Hygiene and Food Sanitary Safety (SDHSSA) and register your interest.
- Request a registration form from the registration/service desk. complete it in a precise manner.
- Make the necessary processing charges on the Department of Veterinary Services (DSV) cash counter. Upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
- Complete the request form and supporting documents to the official to be verified.
- The Department of Hygiene and Food Sanitary Safety (SDHSSA) will send an inspector/health officer to the facility’s premises to conduct an inspection and determine if Good Cold Storage, Manufacturing and Distribution is still a valid practice.
- An exact copy of report findings will be provided to applicants and If any change or upgrade is required, Corrective Action and Preventive Action Report (CAPA) report will be issued and you will be required to correct the issue.
- After the successful implementation of the CAPA A follow-up inspection can be conducted by the inspectors to assess the efficacy of the CAPA’s implementation (where it is applicable).
- A Inter-ministerial Commission (chaired by the Ministry responsible for Trade) is scheduled to meet at minimum two (2) times per year to look over the findings of the report, application dossiers and issue certificates of import authorizations to those who met the requirements specified in the application.
- You will be informed about the outcome via mail, telephone or in person, and then you will be issued with the renewal certification as an importer for milk or derived products. This is done through the register.
- The list of approved applicants (individuals/businesses/companies) will then be gazetted by the Inter-ministerial Decrees.

- A receipt to pay fees related to the application file (to DSV, the Directorate of Veterinary Services, DSV).

- In the spirit of Decree Nr. 83-808 from the 3rd of August, 1983, and Decree n@93-312 from March 11 1993, it establishes the conditions to exercise professions in the importation of food products to be consumed by humans or animals.
- So, those who import dairy products and related products must obtain an authorization to an import permit for milk and related goods from the minister in order to be able import these products into Ivory Coast.
- Such Companies/business/person that are registered with the Ministry of Animal and Fisheries Resource (MIRAH)/ must renew their registration certificate as importers to keep enjoying the incentives that come with registration.
