How To Replace a Stolen or Damaged License Plate In Argentina

  1. Collect all the documents you’ll be required to provide or provide to be considered to the process.
  2. The application for replacement of damaged or stolen license plate has to be submitted in the section for records at the DNRPA office in which you registered the car.

  • Formulation “59” for the case where the procedure is initiated by the representative.

Note: If the holder cannot be registered personally The signer on Application Type “02” must be signed by a notary public and presented by a person who is in possession of the DNI (the authority must on the form “59” identify the signer)

Processing Time

The temporary paper plates are provided to the applicant once all documents required are received. Metal plates that are duplicates can be handed over to the applicant within 15 days.
