Let’s find out what the differences are between a good and bad conductor. A bad conductor can also be called an insulator.
Conductor: A conductor is material that allows current to flow through it without obstruction. Conductors can be found in all metals.
Insulator: A material that does not allow current flow through it is called an insulator. Insulators are generally non-metals.
These two categories are not the only ones. semi-conductor.
Semiconductor materials like Silicon (Si), and Germanium (Ge) have electrical properties that are somewhere in the middle. They fall somewhere between a conductor or an insulator. They are not good conductors or insulators.
