Btech’s are preferred for jobs that do not require core skills mainly because of their JEE tag. Mtech’s, on the other hand, are preferred for core jobs. They are expected to stay in the same core job for at least two years, and have fewer chances to change jobs or go to higher education than btech’s.
You could be offered core jobs with higher salaries if you are proficient in processor and programming topics. These are offers from companies targeting CS students. They may also consider students in electrical engg if they feel they can help. DD students could be enrolled in full- and minor courses from the CS department during their five year stay on campus.
