What is the best way to build an electric motor?

There are many ways to help your child with homework.

I made one very quickly in five minutes.

Although it isn’t necessarily the best, it is the easiest and most efficient way to create a DC motor.

I will be honest and say that writing my answer takes me longer than making the video and the motor.

0:00-0:30A business strategy is one that aims to make money from motors. It is important to design one that is efficient and competitively priced. Find suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses, workers, investors, and designers. You must find customers for your motor, which is the most important.

All you need to make a school-oriented motor is a magnet and a battery. You also need a piece of wire made of any metal as long as it’s conductive. I used “washer” magnets (used to lock kitchen cabinets doors), a AA battery, and a piece copper wire. It’s based on the “Faraday motor”.

It is based on the “Lorentz force”, which is a very simple principle. If an electric current is flowing through a wire that has been immersed in a transversal magnet field, it will push it to the side. To demonstrate this, we use the right-hand rule. The indicator indicates the direction of current along the wire, while the thumb represents the direction of magnetic field. The middle finger represents the force above the wire.

To help maintain balance in my prototype, I made some turns to the wire. However, the only wire responsible for movement is the straight section close to the magnets.

It works well for a schooler, but it is completely inefficient in practice.

I was seven years old when I built my first DC motor using materials I found in trash cans. These included magnets, wires and batteries. It worked well, and I added a small propeller to have fun with a fan.

A few years later, I won a prize at my school’s science show with components that I had gotten out of a trashcan.
