What is the difference between electric field and electric field intensity ?

Both terms are frequently used interchangeably. It is not a difficult thing to do. There is a subtle difference between the two words. An electric field describes a region of energy that surrounds charges. You can find a more detailed and quantitative definition on the internet. Electric field cannot be represented by any other notation.

But, electric field intensity is actually the vector aspect of an electrical field. This means that we are referring to the electric field’s magnitude and direction. The electric field intensity is often denoted with E (With an Arrow Mark on the Top).
