Apply for a Certificate of Nationality In Mali By Yourself
- Candidates should go to the nationality and records of criminals certificates office in a civil court close to you and communicate your desire to the official responsible.
- Complete the forms you require and complete them.
- Pay all the necessary fees at the cashier’s desk on which you will receive an acknowledgement slip.

- The Chief Registrar is responsible for the verification and registration , and If he/she finds that the file is correct the application will be deemed approved and sends the certificate for signature at the request of President of the Tribunal or the Justice of the Peace with Extended Jurisdiction.
- The certificate is given back in the National Certificate office within one working day. You can visit to the Office with your ID document and acknowledgement slip, and then accept the certificate.
Away Application
- The applicant must visit the Mali consulate/embassy in their country of residence with the relevant documents and inform them of their desire at the service desk.
- Note that some embassy’s required the applicant to schedule an appointment prior to visiting the embassy.
- Download the application form from the embassy office , or download it from the website of the Embassy if it’s there is.
- Fill out the form completely and pay the necessary processing fee. Note that processing fees vary depending on embassies.
- You will be informed of the result by the embassy via phoneor mail. You can also visit the embassy with your ID document and get the certificate.

- A self-addressed, registered envelope with suitable stamps (letter recommendation);
- A pre-paid envelope from a acknowledged courier service.
- Please note that not all embassies provide the return of mail or post (please check with the Embassy)
- In those countries that do not have an Mali diplomatic presence applicants may file an application by an agent on behalf of the applicant (Applicant)as as long that the representative holds the authorization document (simple authority of attorney)
