- Complete all of the fields in the online application. Once you’ve completed the Online Application and clicked submit, you’ll have to print a Summary Sheet, then sign and date it.
- The form must be signed by yourself. The only exception for minors under the age of 18 The parent(s) could sign in this situation.
- The Summary Sheet provides you with details on how to send your supporting documents. You must send the completed and dated Summary Sheet as well as the supporting documentation.

Required Documents For Apply for a Student Visa
Minimum requirements needed for any visa application:
- Application form completed
- A passport that has validity that is at least six months from the date you plan to depart from Ireland.
- Evidence that you are able to support yourself throughout staying in Ireland. A complete bank statement for the six months preceding the date you apply for a visa and proving sufficient funds is required.
- Give details of all members of your family that reside located in Ireland or another EU country. Also, you must provide specifics of any prior requests you’ve completed for a visa in order for entry into Ireland.
Notes:
- If any of the documentation is not present the application may be denied.
- The documents should be written in English. If you’re providing documents in a different language, you will need to provide an official translation together with an original copy of the document.

- Letter of acceptance from a recognised school/college/university in Ireland confirming that you have been accepted on a course of study. The course of study has to be full-time (lasting one term of academics) and include an minimum of 15 hours of weekly studies.
- A proof of your academic capacity to complete the chosen course by using your English language (unless it’s not an English class in the language).
- The proof that the course cost of the course has been fully paid.
- You must prove that you have the money (7,000) to support yourself during the initial phase during your time in the country.
- The evidence that you or your sponsor are entitled to at least 7,000 dollars for every subsequent year of your study, in addition to costs for the course in each year.
- The evidence that you are covered by private medical insurance
- A detailed explanation of any omissions in your educational background
- Confirm that you will return to your country of permanent residence after you depart Ireland.

Eligibility
There is no need for an entry visa to visit Ireland in the event that you are a resident from the EEA or any of the other countries listed on the list.
If you don’t require an entry visa in order to enter Ireland You do not need a visa for students to go to school in Ireland.
You don’t need an entry visa to enter Ireland If:
- You have a valid travel document that is in compliance to Article 28 of the Geneva Convention
- You have an active resident card for 4 EU FAM or an active permanently residing card EU FAM, issued pursuant to the European Communities (Free Movement of People) (No. 2.) Rules (SI 656/2006). (SI 656/2006).
- You are a member of the family or an EU citizen and hold the document known as “Residence card of the family member of an Union citizen”
