  1. The importer needs to find an agent for clearing in Malawi and then submit the form 12 along with all the necessary papers to that agent.

  3. The agent files the declaration using Customs Operating System (ASYCUDA) and generate the invoice as a result of on the declaration.
  4. The clearing agent submits an application for the transportation of products.
  5. The importer then has to pay for the security ad processing fee according to the processing invoice created by ASYCUDA.
  6. If the transit was granted, the person who is importing will receive the form T12. Customs will then allow the transportation of the merchandise within the bond of the customs clearing agent to the final destination.
  7. The shipment is sealed and is considered to be risky and will be shipped through the customs escort route to the final destination.
  8. When everything is in order the system will conduct transit within ASYSYCUDA (ASYCUDA) and then allowed to proceed to the country of importation.
  9. Last but not least, provide Customs for proof of export, for the security to be reimbursed.
