Eligibility

  • The applicant must be 12 or over
  • The participant must be accompanied by an sponsor
    • Parent or
    • Guardian (grandfather or grandmother, aunt and uncle, older brother or sister who is older than 21)

Fees

  • 12 years old to 12 years old and 30 days Fee for application of 40 RM
  • Between 12 and 30 days up to 16 years old – application fee in the amount of RM plus processing fees of 10 RM

Instructions

Regulation 3 of the National Registration Regulations 1990 (Amendment 2007) stipulates that permanent residents are required to apply for an identification card in the first 30 days after achieving the age of 12, or on the date of reference on an entry permit from the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
