  1. The importer needs to go to the Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) office in order to collect IIR application forms. IIR Application Form. Contact Information Link
  2. Complete the application form, and attach the necessary documents to it.
  3. Send the completed application at the MBS office to be verified with MBS officer for verification. MBS officer.
  4. Documents will be inspected and If the application is approved and the application is approved, then MBS will create the processing invoice and send it to you.
  5. The importer is now required to visit any of the MBS offices to settle the invoice and get the receipt of payment. If the importer is unable to pay the invoice and the goods will be held at the entry point.
  6. After payment, upon payment, the MBS will perform a conformity audit on the shipment.
