- Applications will be sent across all high schools of New Providence initially, and then extended to include schools located on the Family Islands.
- An officer for liaison with schools will be designated to ensure there is a point of contact to inquire about any issues or more details.
- A completed application form should be sent to the Director’s Office of Nursing not later than May 31st of every year.
- Students who are recommended by their schools could be contacted through their school to schedule an interview.
- Candidates will receive an informed decision about their choices by the middle of the month of June each year.
- Parents/guardians of students should be active when their child has been chosen official to be aware of the requirements of the program, as well as what they can do to help their child in achieving success.

Eligibility
Applicant must:
- Bahamian citizenship.
- Physically and mentally well-rested and mentally.
- In the grade 10 11, 11 , or 12.
- Five BJCs (or equivalent) with Math, English and a Science subject (grade C or above).
- Want to be a part of the community and interact with the public at large.
- The student should be referred to the principal or guidance counselor on the student’s ability to earn minimum, essential BGSCE scores and subject.
- Excellent conversation with the panel.
- A good name within the community.
