IRD number application form – individual (IR595)

Processing Time

After your application has been confirmed, the verifier will forward the application to IRD. Within 8-10 business days after receiving your application, IRD will mail you a card that shows the child’s IRD number.

Need to have the Document

A child or a baby is not required to possess any IRD number, however when parents or children earn income , you must pay tax. If you don’t possess an IRD number taxes will be deducted in a non-declaration rate that is higher than the standard deduction rate. It is also possible to make an application for one IRD number on behalf of your child, so that the lower tax rate for withholding is taken from the interest paid on the balance in their bank. Your child may also require an IRD number when seeking Working for Families or child support.
