  • There is no requirement for a signature when filling out an online form. However, you’ll need to sign the original printed copy of the form once you have collected the result of your search and/or certified copies.
  • If you require assistance the online application contact toll-free the Immigration e-Services Hotline at (852) 3128 8668 from 7:00 until 11:00 pm each day.
  • If your request is submitted online, you will be required to get the search result as well as the certified copy of the relevant entry at the appropriate registry. The date for collection is displayed upon the receipt acknowledging the request.
  • Take note that if you fail to take the search result or copies of your certified copy of relevant entry at the registry office from which you are required to pick them within six months of the date it became ready to be picked up, the record is deemed to be invalidated.

  • Search for marriage record Search of marriage records: Hong Kong$140
  • A certified copy of the wedding certificate: HK$280 for each copy

The payment for search fee can be made using VISA, MasterCard or PPS however, the charges for certified copies must be paid cash or via crossed cheque or cashier’s check made payable in favour of “The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region” at the time of collecting these certified copies.

Processing Time

Searching for marriage records or certification of a marriage certificate will take approximately 9 working days to complete.

Notice: The working days: Monday through Friday, except for General holidays.

Instructions

If you are looking to obtain an authentic copy of the marriage certificate You will have make an application for a search, unless the copy was applied to the same day when the original certificate is issued.
