Apply For Obtain Disability Parking Permit in Hong Kong
- Make sure you have all the documents you be required to submit or provide in order to apply for the Disability Parking Permit (see “Required Papers” Section).
- You must fill out the application form. The form is available under the “Documents to Use” section that you can click to download the application form. Be sure to read the form thoroughly and be sure you follow the directions.
- Send the completed form and the completed form to The Transport Department.
- Send any other documents you require.

- Additional Documents to Support Application
- A photocopy of applicant’s identification document;
- A photocopy of the Vehicle Modification Examination Certificate, If any;
- A photocopy of the approval letter to be exempt from the vehicle licence fee and
- Other document(s) other document(s).

What are all the Eligibility
- The applicant has to have an official certificate issued either by the director of Health or the Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance (Cap 113) in which the applicant is informed that he suffers from a chronic illness or physical impairment which causes him to have difficulties walking or running; and
Disabled driver driver with a learners licence or fully licensed driving license and being registered as the proprietor of the automobile having a an appropriate modification that has been approved by TD.
Validity
It is good for no longer than 3 years.

Other uses for the Document/Certificate
The Transport Department issues Disabled Persons Parking Permit to permit parking for disabled drivers for the purposes of:
- Exemption of the payment for on-street metered parking spaces
- Parking on designated parking spaces for disabled drivers parking on designated disabled driver parking spaces
- giving concessions at half price on parking charges in car parks in the TDs management.
