Send an application letter at the director of Animal Health and Development (DALHD) specifically stating your animal, or product from an animal you plan to import.
Make the necessary application fee payments and get the bank slip
Attach all of the documents required to the letter of application and forward them to DALHD at this address Director of Animal Health and Development, PO Box 2096, Lilongwe, Malawi.
When reviewing the application the director will then request an inspection prior to the review. A back ground inspection is carried out regarding the disease outbreaks that have occurred in the country of origin
The inspector will then prepare an inspection report and send it to the director.
If the director is satisfied with the report The director will then approve your application and issue an order of the permit
It will then be processed, and the permit will be sent to you via your contact that it is ready to be collected
