- You must complete an Application form and submit it to the CFIA office in your area. CFIA office.

- Complete the online application and fill in your information.
- Make sure you have all the necessary documents which are listed under the “Required Document””Required Document” section on this page.
- The applicant must submit the application form that has been filled in along with all supporting documentation to local CFIA office.
- To allow the exporter’s company to guarantee that the phytosanitary certificate is received prior to shipping the goods, the CFIA must be notified at the earliest 10 (10) day prior to departure date.
- The CFIA examines the shipment. The phytosanitary certificate is only issued when the importer country has it in its prerequisite to import, and also when the plants, plants products, and other items that are regulated within the shipment meet phytosanitary requirements for importation of the country that is the source of the import.
