Apply for Service Passport In Malawi By Online
- Download the passport application form at the nearest Immigration office which is free for you to use. You can also download it from the Department of Immigration Republic of Malawi website. You can download the form here: http://www.immigration.gov.mw/DownloadForm.aspx. For residents who live outside of Malawi the application form can be obtained from the application form at the closest Malawi foreign mission.
- File or submit an application.
- After the collection and filing on the form, the person submitting the request must be commissioned to sign part B by a Magistrate, or a Commissary for Oaths.
- The applicant should go at the District Commissioners Office where he or she is from to verify the location of birth on the part C.
- The applicant needs to show him or himself to one of the three immigration Offices: Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu in accordance with where they are in order to be able to follow up and to undergo thorough interviews conducted by an Immigration Officer at the counter.
- The applicant will be required to submit biometrics (picture or fingerprints) as well as a fingerprints, signature) taken.
- The applicant has to pay the fee for the passport in the Malawi Savings Bank located within the Immigration Offices.

Instructions
- Passport applicants shouldn’t take travel arrangements until their passports are in place. The passport applicant should apply at least 20 days prior to the date of their departure.
- Female applicants who are married and are applying for a passport need to show their husband’s name upon the production of the marriage Certificate. If the applicant wishes to return to their maiden names because of divorce or death of husband the death or divorce certificate must be presented to authorize the change.
