- Get the loan Application form at the ministry’s office, or download it on MOEY’s website using the following link: Link (Click on “Teachers loan Application.doc” in order to save the document)
- Complete the application correctly
- Make sure you have all the necessary documents as listed under the “Required Documents” section below. Attach all the documents required to the application form.
- Completely submit the application to MOEY via their Regional Education Office
- The ministry, through the appropriate authority will examine the application and forward it to the bank for processing.
- When the lender has received the application, the lender will contact you using your contact information to notify you that they have received your application. They may also request additional information, if needed.
- The bank will review your application and determine if you satisfy the bank’s internal loan approval requirements, your application will be accepted
- The Bank will notify you of the approval’s success and you will need to fill out all the necessary documents for your loan with the bank. These include: Promissory Note the Salary Deduction Request, Acknowledgement Form as well as Bond Agreement.
- The bank will then disburse the loan funds directly to your educational institution.

Eligibility
Teacher candidates in Jamaica are eligible to apply by meeting the following conditions:
- You must be a teacher in a publicly education institution
- You must be employed permanently by the company MOEY.
- You must pass the bank’s credit check.
- You should have the debt service ratio that is 1.5 :1.
- You must provide evidence of the ability to cover at minimum 10% of the price of the study course
