Obtain License to Import Renewable Energy Technology In Malawi By Online
- Prepare all required documents, and then get the an application form to obtain an import licence. Form ERET1 form Malawi Energy Regulation Authority (MERA) website: Link or download it via the link that is provided in the the Documents to Use section below.
- Complete the application form in accordance with the instructions and pay the necessary application fee.
- Attach all documents required to the form, including the receipt of payment proof
- The complete application should be sent at the Malawi Energy Regulation Authority through this address: MERA; Private Bag B496, Capital City, Lilongwe 3, Malawi. If you wish, you can hand in the application yourself at the main office (Licensing Section)
- MERA will be notified of an application. MERA will acknowledge the receipt in writing to you within 30 days of the day they received it.
- The licensing office will send applications to Energy Technical and Licensing committee of MERA The committee will evaluate the application and make an action to the MERA main board.
- The Main board will meet and decide on whether or not they will issue the permit
- Should they choose to grant the licence you will be informed of their decision via the contact information you supplied
- Your application is processed, and you’ll need to select the entire license when it is available to be collected and pay the fee at the time of collection.
Note: All reasonable costs paid by the Authority when processing the application will be borne by the applicant upon prior notification to applicants by Authority. See External Links below.
