Obtain Permit to Export Cotton In Malawi By Yourself
- Make sure you have all the necessary documents and then visit the Cotton Council office to get the council’s permission
- Send your application indicating your intention to pay and import the necessary application fees
- The council will examine the application and, if they believe it to meets the standards they will then approve the application. They will also request the form for a phytosanitary certificate.
- Visit the department of Agriculture research to obtain the phytosanitary certification and then submit it to the cotton council.
- The council will then give the approval for your application, and an recommendation note to Ministry of industry and trade to recommend the issuance of the permit.
- The Ministry of Industry and Trade will prepare and issue you with the export permit for cotton.

- Declaration of Value Form 19
- Cargo manifest/bill of lading for land and sea cargo or airway invoice for cargo on the air
- The phytosanitary certificate
- Identification documents
