Eligibility
- A person legally in possession of the aircraft during a time of at least 28 days that flies to or from within or above Niue territory is required to have the aircraft registered and carry an official certificate of registration
Instructions
- An aircraft is not able to be registered or registered in Niue in the event that you registered it in a different country.
- The Director can refuse to register an aircraft in accordance with regulations enacted by this Act.
- Anyone in relation to who a decision is made under this section can appeal that decision to the Minister.
The Information You Need
- A person applying for an aviation certificate must provide the applicant’s address of service to Niue with a phone and facsimile number.
- The owner of an aviation certificate must immediately inform Director of any changes to the address, phone number or facsimile number of the owner. Penalties: (a) In the case of an individual, a penalty not more than 10 penalty units;
- In the event of an entity corporate, there is a penalty not more than fifty penalty units.
- The Director must keep a record of the information provided in this section in a register kept by the Director to serve the purposes.
- The service of a notice pursuant to this Act to a holder of or applicant for an aviation document is a valid service when it is delivered to the address provided by the holder of or applicant in accordance with this section.
