Report a Traffic Accident In Mali By Yourself

  1. One or both drivers who were injured in the collision or a person who witnessed the situation where both drivers have been seriously injured and transported to the hospital, should call immediately the “Voie Publique” department within the Police Station or the Gendarmerie Brigade via contact or in person as soon as possible.
  2. After receiving the distress messageor notification, after receiving the distress call or notification, the “Voie Publicque” division will dispatch an entire team to the screen to create an account.
  3. The team examines and asks questions about the causes of the accident (among other things, speeding, failing to observe the signal, brake system, the physical and mental health of the drivers etc.) and also the vehicles inspected (beforehand).

Instructions

Important note

  • In the event of “minor violations” which don’t require a formal procedure since they are not causing injuries to the body or cause property harm. They are punished verbally against receipt.
  • If there’s someone injured even if the parties come to an agreement the issue, the public action is still in place and the case is classified as “involuntary attack and battery. The driver is referred to and his license is sealed, and the file is handed to the prosecutor.

Documentation is needed

If you’re involved in a major or minor collision in Mali you must inform the local police authorities immediately.
