How To Register a Birth In Costa Rica
- To record a birth, visit the Consulate of your state and fill out the form for registration.
- Send in your application with all of the documents required.
- The request will be submitted via the consular agent directly to the Civil Registry of Costa Rica to be processed.
Documents that are required Register a Birth
- Certificate of birth for parents or the child that have Costa Rican citizenship.
- Passport Rican mother and an original copy of the two first pages.
- ID card for Costa Rican parent.
- Birth certificate of the child (duly legally certified by the consul ) should be longer than 10 years old).
