How do electrons relate to electricity?

The flow of electrons through conductors is called electricity. Metals contain so many electrons they can easily be freed from their nucleus and float around. The electrons will flow towards the positive terminal of the voltage source if they are given a slight push. The electron flow is known as an electrical current. The current is greater if there are more electrons flowing through the conductor per second.
