  • In order to apply for Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Orientation Programme (FPGOP) in person, applicants must make an appointment with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).

  • The applicant needs to first submit an application in writing for participation for the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Orientation Programme (FPGOP).
  • Go to the offices of the PCN with the completed application and any other required documents listed on this page’s “Required documents” section of this page.
  • Download an application form to apply for FPGOP from the department responsible for. You can download it here: application form: application form
  • Complete the application form by filling in the all the required information in the appropriate fields within the respective sections.
  • Attach the completed application form and the required documents along with the completed application form , and return it to the relevant official in the office.
  • Be sure to pay the appropriate fees as directed by officials and then submit your proof to the office.
  • When the application is received along with the required documents The office will confirm and review the documents submitted.
  • The Registry will inform each applicant directly, in writing, about the status of their application, as well as the occurrence of any deficiency(ies).
  • Following the required processes, if all requirements are satisfied the applicant will receive a confirmation of FPGOP through any applicable methods.

What are all the Eligibiltity

  • Anyone who is a Pharmacy Graduate trained in another country who wishes to be registered as a Pharmacist on the basis of this, is eligible to apply.
  • The student’s bachelor’s degree in pharmacy must have been conferred by a recognized institution of pharmacy in a country other than Nigeria.

Information that could be helpful

  • Foreign nationals who have graduated of schools within Nigeria are not included in this program.
  • The name of the applicant as shown on their application, will be used for all communication with PCN.
  • The success of the FPGOP exam does not confer the same as a certificate to practice pharmacy.

If they pass the test, they are enrolled in the 12-month uninterrupted internship, following which they will become qualified for registration.
