How To Apply for Identity Card In Costa Rica

To apply for an identity card, visit the Consulate in your state and fill out the required forms.
Minors are required to be accompanied by parental or authorized representatives whenever applying. If parents or representatives are not present, the minor has to be accompanied by two witnesses who have valid identification documents.

Passport
A copy of the passport
A certified copy of the birth certificate
2 passport-sized photos of the same background light blue, without identifying the person who took the photos or the negative
The identity card of the parents or guardianship legal
The identity card copy of witnesses
