As well as any tests that the Authority will require an applicant for a license as a learner to take and pass, the Authority might also require the applicant to:
- give the Authority with your personal details (including any evidence the Authority might reasonably require in relation to these particulars) in accordance with the an application form supplied from the Authority;
- Issue a Citizenship Identity Card, or other valid identification documents to Bhutanese Nationals, as well as passports or any other identification card for foreigners.
- Bring along a recent passport-size photograph of the national dress code for Bhutanese;
- present a medical screening document that is certified by a Medical Officer in the country.
- Fill in the application form
- Provide a verification certificate by the Local Police Authority;
- Get the Learners License on the spot or at a Driving School after meeting the requirements in the first instance; and
- Make sure you pay the necessary fees

Eligibility
Applicant must be of age or older.
Validity
The learner’s license is valid for a year following the date of issue or until the driver’s license that permits the person to drive the car is given to the driver, or when it is issued, whichever comes first.
The Document is required
A learner driver’s license is required to drive a car, however, it must be under the supervision of a licensed driver who holds a valid license.
